Hopefully this feature is coming soon?!Īnother nuisance, but not actually a missing feature, is the ads.
That’s one of my favorite things about Trakt, the ability to set lists of my favorite shows and see them all in every add-on or app that has full Trakt integration. However, it apparently can’t give you your lists. It is able to scrobble your watched episodes to your Trakt account. While Terrarium TV has integration, it seems to be only half of it. What are some features that are missing in Terrarium TV? Here’s what I found.
Make sure to get the appropriate ones for your device and Android version.
So, go back to the “Downloader” app, and browse to Click on the Download page and download and install both the MX Player AND the MX Player Codec. You won’t be able to download MX Player via Google Play Store, because Fire TV doesn’t have it. Now, when you play an episode, it will need a player. From there, the instructions are the same as above. You can then use your remote arrow keys to navigate the mouse on the website and click the download link. Once you launch the “Downloader” app, you can enter a website address to browse to. Download and install that “Downloader” app (with the orange icon). Go to the apps area and search for “Downloader”. If you are using an Amazon Fire TV / Stick, you won’t have a web browser, but you can get one. Installing Terrarium TV on Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick When you browse to a show and try to play an episode, it will prompt you to install the MX Player app, which it can get from the Google Play Store, if you have it. When done, click Open and it will launch the Terrarium TV app. It will ask you if you are sure you want to install it.
If that setting is checked, then go ahead and launch the APK file that you downloaded. This will allow you to install the APK manually. At the moment, it looks like this…Ĭlick on it, and it will begin downloading an APK file.īefore you install, you will need to make sure that your Android security settings have the “ Unknown Sources” checkbox checked. If your Android device has a web browser (unlike Fire TV devices), then simply browse to, and click the Download link at the top. Installing Terrarium TV on Android with a Web Browser If you have any trouble with your specific device, let me know in the comments, and I can try to help. I’m going to give you some installation instructions according to some common devices. Nice dark gray theme, modern Android material design, prominent show artwork, and easy to browse and search for what you’re looking for. Instead, you could just install the app on your phone, and cast the shows you want to watch to your Google Chromecast!Īnyway, about the looks of the app, it’s exactly how I pictured this kind of app should look. This makes it so you don’t even have to use an Android set top box. One extra feature that I think is awesome about Terrarium TV is it’s Cast feature. But, it has Real-Debrid integration, *some* integration, and overall, it does the same thing those Kodi add-ons do… they search all the providers to get a list of sources available for a video. I say almost, because at the moment, it still seems to be missing some key feature (I’ll get to that later). Terrarium TV does almost everything you would see it Exodus, SALTS, Specto, Elysium, Bubbles, etc. If you take your favorite unofficial video add-on from Kodi that streams all your favorite shows and movies, and move it into a really nice looking Android app, you get Terrarium TV. I’d love to hear your take on it.Īnd now, without further ado, let me introduce you to Terrarium TV…
If you think differently, share your thoughts in the comments. I see it as a nice introduction of another option that we have available alongside Kodi, and not necessarily a replacement for it. There are still plenty of people sticking with Kodi and are perfectly happy with it. Whether or not this sense of a movement away from Kodi is actually anything sizable, I’m not sure. Android was the obvious next choice because of the wild popularity of the Amazon Fire TV Stick and a plethora of Android boxes made for Kodi. Not only have Kodi users started looking into other options besides Kodi, but I’ve also been hearing of Kodi developers exploring other development platforms like Android. Sure, you can still install alternative repos to Fusion and get all your favorite add-ons back and working again, but it still made people pause and look for other options. Movement Away From Kodi?Įver since the TVAddons went down and took all the good add-ons with them, people in the Kodi world have been scrambling. NOTICE: Terrarium TV has shut down forever.
